Can I use REST for Visual Studio integration?

Added by Erik Hellström about 15 years ago

Hi,

First I have to say that you guys have done some great work with Redmine!

I've read some of the discussions regarding making Redmine REST-url compatible in Feature: #296 Can you give an estimate when it's possible to actually start using it? I'm thinking about doing a add-in for visual studio and RESTurls would be quite nice. :)

Hi,

Since a few month there is an sourceforge project which provide an eclipse and redmine plugin to connect both via mylyn. I think the plugin for redmine is a rest compatible interface. I have installed the redmine and eclipse part of the plugin an its working perfectly, although it is beta

http://sourceforge.net/projects/redmin-mylyncon/

I also think about developing an add-in for visual studio on the rest interface of this sourceforge project

Carl

Thanks Carl,

Actually, the mylycon plugin is using the XML-RPC protocol and as it seems, RESTful urls will have native support in a future version of Redmine. A "generic" issue tracker for VS with plugins for different communication protocols would be quite nice... Maybe I should look into that..

Hello,
Is the integration with visual studio possible nowadays?
I'd be interested with an integration with VS2003,05,08.
Where can we find a tutorial for this?
Looking forward for your help.
Thanks
Regards,
Nicolas

Hi,

Anyone has done it yet?

I would be interested in such a plugin for VS. I may actually do it!
