Links between issues and revisions

Hi all,

The link between the issues and revision is very useful, but as far as I understand, this link is established in Redmine parsing the revision comment, identifying the appropriate pattern configured in the admin page.
Sometimes (upon human errors), it could be necessary to :
  • modify a link (wrong issue is referenced, or missing ones)
  • create a link (the issue was not mentioned in the revision comment)
  • suppress a link (where the referenced issue has nothing in common with the revision)

What do you think of having the links editable ? May be it should be reserved to some roles (only Manager for example), since the revision comment might also be modified in the repository (to maintain consistency).

See issue #2009 which is scoped to the manual addition of related revisions... Though I haven't had the opportunity to work on the issue... :(
