Allowing IP's on certain projects

Added by Kyle McAuliffe over 13 years ago

I have redmine running on apache with phusion passenger.

This is being used for the whole company for several projects (clients, internal, etc).

One of the clients wants access to thier project to be limited to one ip address.

Im at a loss as how to go about doing this and not affecting the other projects as well with a general rule in apache.

Any help or a nudge in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

You can't, as URLs don't always contain information about what project the view is related to.

You can forefront with apache and configure ip filtering on url access for the project url you want to secure, I fact of redmine using restful patters this should work well, but i dind't try it our personally.

Can you tell just from http://redmine.example/issues/12 what project this issue belongs to? Ergo: you can't restrict access to a specific project just by "looking" at the URLs.

Felix,

Thank you for your response. This makes a lot of sense.

I will recommend the workaround be setting up a separate instance of redmine.
