Not able to add users to a project

Hi ,

I had installed the latest version of Redmine but I am not able to add users to a projects.

I am doing the following:
1. Created a new project prj1( tried both public and private ).
2. Gone to project link then to that project ( prj1 ) then went to settings -> members but I am not able to see
any button to add members .

Am i missing something.

Please help.

Saurabh,

You need to create users from "Administration -> Users | New"

"Project -> settings -> members" only let you attach existing users to that project.

Thanks for the quick reply:

I already have 2 users in the database but it is still not showing any data , any idea why

Its wired....

try adding the user from "Administration -> Users -> " Projects (tab)..

No luck yeh , I will try with a diff version i guess...

If somebody has any other suggestions please.

You need to "wire" the existing users to a project, in a pre-defined role, before you will see those users showing up in the project's members-tab as you show in the uploaded image.

Thanks a lot Mischa , Got it without having any role defined there will be no assignment , Now with roles defined I can assign users.
