Description

Most of the functionality from #2679 has now been built into redmine; however, one fairly minor thing it's missing is the ability to see the query count next to custom queries in the side bar.

Interesting, I missed that. Do you know of any plugins which fulfill just this functionality - or the possibility of having it as a setting.

I'd go even a step further and introduce a "read"-concept in Redmine. Issues are flagged as "read" (for a user) when the user has opened an issue. Unread issues are issues that are newly created of have been edited after last reading. On custom-query-level, we could thus also list the count of unread-issues. (Open question: what about content read by mail... still to be listed?)
