Patch #44637
closedRemove unnecessary Gantt redraws on window resize
Description
Window resizing currently redraws all issue relations and progress lines even though their coordinates within the timeline do not change. This patch removes that unnecessary redraw and keeps the existing SVG paths.
Performance:
With related issues and the progress line enabled, the viewport was repeatedly narrowed from 1600px to 745px and widened back. The table shows the average Gantt resize-handler time per event.
| Issues | Relations | Before | After |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | 99 | 16.08 ms | 0.13 ms |
| 500 | 499 | 209.42 ms | 0.30 ms |
For 500 issues, the resize-handler time decreased by approximately 99.9%.
Verification:
- Confirmed that resizing keeps relations and progress lines aligned in Chrome, Firefox and Safari on macOS, and Chrome on Windows 11.
- Visual comparison: 43 existing cases and 5 additional window-resize cases (G22), with 443 image pairs. No new functional regression was detected.
