This plugin searches per user for expired issues and issues which are about to expire (what that means is configurable) and sends a nice reminder mail summarizing all found issues. You can trigger this event with a cronjob (a possible script is in the repo) or by hand by calling the rake task redmine:redmine_reminder:send_reminder_mails.
