We are thinking of taking over the development of this great plugin. Please vote for that at https://www.redmine-x.com/redmine-x-plugins/roadmap/ck-editor-take-over

PRO
- Epic!!! much user friendly
- direct table copy paste from MS Excel
- direct content copy form website (with pictures/links etc)
- should be default redmine editor

CONS:
- all previous text is damaged. But migrating worth it really!!!

a must have one, works with redmine3.2.0, ruby 2.3.0, apache2, centos7

Really great plugin.

by Gerardo Herzig over 8 years ago

Good for a "fresh, clean" redmine. I mean, without any issues loaded.
All pre-existing wikis, notes, issues and any other text got broken and become unreadable.

It says that the version 1.0.20 (07/03/2015) is compatible with Redmine 2.6.x, however was unable instalar..Aparece a message that is only copatível with Redmine 3.0. :(

by Mike O'Neill over 8 years ago

Worked great in previous versions. Now I have to wait for 3.1.x support.

Great plugin. However, it changes literally ALL text boxes within Redmine from RedCloth to CKEditor.
All existing text and formatted text (including calls to pictures, links, etc.) becomes essentially invalid and broken with implementation of this.

by Bryant Yang almost 9 years ago

it's a good plugin. but the most troublesome thing is: All of the old content with picture or special format will be shown as raw textile code.

by Hassan Assalih almost 9 years ago

had some trouble to install ... but it worth the effort, this should be the default editor in Redmine, it is really nice and the the best bit is that it enable you to copy/past html.

Very useful! Best wiki editor for my non technical people with WYSIWYG!

by Christian Dähn almost 9 years ago

Sadly this plugin erases+overwrites config.js and there is no documented way how to use own settings/configs - the given ckeditor.yml doesn't work.

Partially working with new 2.6.2 Redmine update.
Some text areas has CKeditor but some are not.

It's a very nice plugin, but I'm still having problems with break lines on received emails (1.0.17)

+1
[Plugin "per_project_formatting" is very useful add-on for it.]

Works fine,
plugin "per_project_formatting" is very useful add-on for it.
Migration is working well.

It would be great to add possibility to convert from CKE-formatted text (html) to Redmine-native textile.
