How do I configure link in email content?

Added by Charles So almost 13 years ago

I'm running RM 1.1.2 (BitNami edition), and everything is running fine.

Except that when new Issues are created, the link in the email pointing to the issue is broken. The link reads http://https:/redmine/issues/99. Please see attachment.

It happens to all projects.

I can't find anywhere to make a change in the UI.

I don't hope to drill into the code.

Anyone can help?!
Charles

Set the host name and path and the protocol correctly in the RedmineSettings.

Not the link in the footer field in the email notifications settings, the "host name and path" and "protocol" fields in the "general" tab in the "settings" in the "administration".

Oh, and you might also want to click on the wiki link I gave you in my first response, it points exactly to the help regarding those two fields.

Thanks Felix.

Yes, it is set in exactly the same location you mentioned.

Result is:
1) link pointing to issue in email is broken
2) link point to the notification system is the right URL, and it works.

I've captured both the email content and the setting page in an attachment. Kindly advise again.

This can't be. 2) comes from Administration > Settings > Email Notifications > Emails footer, 1) comes from Administration > Settings > Email Notifications > Host name and path and Protocol, if the link to issues is broken, the later ("Host name and path" and "Protocol") is broken (or your install is broken…). Make sure you have only the hostname and path without the protocol in "Host name and path".

I've captured both the email content and the setting page in an attachment. Kindly advise again.

I can't read pxm files, sorry.

Felix you hero!!!

I had the protocol at the front of the value in "Host name and path", and that's why it is broken!

Removed it, and it works!

thanks!
