In my opinion Redmine would benefit from the ability to set a specific, non-recurring day as a non-work day. An example of such a day would be a national holiday. This would affect the scheduling of Precedes and Following relationships.

I see support for such a feature in the Forum [1] and alluded to in the comments of a bug report [2].
